How are ratings calculated? To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don't use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2018 Color: sub-811-82 Verified Purchase Purchased this key after my girlfriend's original Subaru key was accidentally run over. We went to a local locksmith in San Jose who was able to not only program, cut and get the key working, he did it cheaper than the dealer - WAY CHEAPER actually and did a great job. Going to buy another asap. Comes quickly, and has the programable chip inside already. Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2019 Color: sub-811-82 Verified Purchase My dealer worked on my 2013 Crosstrek and then said they had to reprogram the keys. I took the 2 keys in and when I went to pick it up they said they could only program 1 key or 3 keys but not 2. They would sell me another key for $320 though. I ordered this one and had a locksmith come out. He programmed my second key with no problem at all. I didn't even need a 3d key. Then he cut and programmed this key. He was here less than 10 minutes and charged $100. So for less than half the price of the dealer I am good to go. Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2020 Color: sub-811-60 Verified Purchase Side by side with the original key, both are identical. I live in the Denver metro area (Colorado) and found 2 locksmiths want $140 and $150 to cut and program the key. Being read Q & A on Amazon that 1 had the key done for $50, I continue looking and found Yoshi (720-925-0810 ) does it for $50 when I come to his place to avoid the mobile charge. Mr. Yoshi is a young, professional and courtesy locksmith. He got the key done and tested in about 20 minutes. Luckily that he tested the original key after he programmed the 2nd key because the original key didn't work anymore. He re programmed the original key so both keys are the same. Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2021 Color: sub-811-60 Verified Purchase As anyone can plainly see, as my locksmith did while trying to get this device to work, the unlock button is missing from the circuitboard. Repeat the circuitboard it's self does not possess the exact tool or mechanism that allows you to unlock the vehicle which is mandatory for a key to have. Clearly this is not good business and they are giving me a hard time about refunding my money. It is extraordinarily bad business and shocking that they take this position after seeing this photo! 1.0 out of 5 stars Bad business or fraud you be the judge after you see the photo As anyone can plainly see, as my locksmith did while trying to get this device to work, the unlock button is missing from the circuitboard. Images in this review Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2019 Color: sub-811-82 Verified Purchase I was able to get this key cut and then programmed to work for a 2016 Subaru Forester. It was hard to find someone to program it and I eventually had to take it into the dealership to do so. The person working in the service center was skeptical and said it probably wouldn't work since it was bought online, but lo and behold it did. Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2018 Color: sub-811-82 [2] Verified Purchase One of these keys programmed just fine. The second of the pair was not working at all; the locksmith cut they key and programmed it. However, he had major difficulty during the programming and while the key will unlock the doors, the chip is defective so that it won't allow the car to turn on. This was after over an hour's worth of effort and several phone calls on the locksmith's part.
